Getting started

How do I set up Kipp?

Sign in with Apple or Google, then complete the intake — a short guided conversation where Kipp learns your goals, history, and how you train. Once that's done, Kipp builds your starting picture and opens the daily conversation. You can connect your devices during onboarding or later from Settings.

How does the coaching work?

Kipp is one ongoing conversation. Each morning it reads your latest recovery and checks in with what it means for your day. You can ask it anything, log by talking, and it adapts your training and fueling over time as it learns more about you.

Connecting devices

Which devices and services can I connect?

Apple Health, Garmin, and Strava. Go to Settings → Connections to connect a source, then tap Analyze to pull in your recent history so Kipp starts with context instead of a blank slate.

Kipp asked for Health permissions — what does it read?

With your permission Kipp reads recovery-related data such as heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, workouts, and body weight to power your coaching. It is never used for advertising. You can review or revoke access anytime in the iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

My connected data isn't showing up.

Make sure the source is connected in Settings → Connections and that you tapped Analyze. For Apple Health, confirm the relevant categories are enabled in the iOS Health permissions. Recovery and activity sync in the background and on app open, so give it a moment after connecting.

Logging

How do I log a meal, workout, or water?

Just tell Kipp in the chat, or use the + button. You can snap a photo of your plate and Kipp estimates the macros, describe a session and it records the sets and effort, or say something like "drank a bottle of water." You can also scan a barcode for exact nutrition label macros.

I logged something wrong — can I fix it?

Yes. Tell Kipp in the chat, for example "the salmon was 60g" or "remove the cola," and it corrects or deletes the entry. You can also backdate by saying when it happened, like "I had this yesterday."

The macros or estimate look off.

Photo and text estimates are approximations. Add detail (portion size, ingredients) and Kipp will refine it, or scan the barcode for label-exact values. For any correction, just tell the coach.

Widgets

How do I add the home-screen widgets?

Long-press your home screen, tap the + in the corner, search for Kipp, and add the widget you want — Macros, Calories, Activity, Weight Trend, or Habits. Tapping a widget opens the matching Insights view. Widgets update after you log or open the app.

A widget shows old or empty data.

Open the app once to trigger a sync. Widgets refresh opportunistically and roll over at local midnight, so today's totals start at zero until the app writes new data.

Subscription & billing

How much does Kipp cost?

Kipp Membership is €29.99 per month (or the equivalent in your local currency) after a 7-day free trial. The membership unlocks the coaching — your daily read, logging by talking, and the plans that adapt over time.

How does the free trial work?

New subscribers get 7 days free. You won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. If you keep it, the subscription begins automatically when the trial ends and renews monthly.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so you manage them in your Apple account: open the iOS Settings app → tap your name → SubscriptionsKipp, then cancel or change it there. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge — you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong, email us and we'll help where we can.

I subscribed but the app still asks me to subscribe.

Give it a moment and reopen the app — activation can take a few seconds after purchase. If it persists, tap Restore purchase on the membership screen, and make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you purchased with.

Account & privacy

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, conversations, logged data, lab panels, stored images, and connected-service tokens. It cannot be undone.

How is my data handled?

Your data is used to power your coaching and is never sold or used for advertising. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
